Wattletree PavilionAt Wattletree Pavilion, the landscape is a small but carefully considered part of the overall project, where the success of the outdoor spaces comes down to the resolution of every detail.
Ground Landscape Studio’s approach focused on creating a seamless transition between inside and out, considering how people move through and experience the spaces and how the landscape complements the architecture at an intimate scale.
Plant selection responds to the specific conditions of the site, introducing greenery and softness while ensuring species are suited to their environment. Paving materials, external lighting and signage were considered as part of the same landscape language, creating consistency across the project.
As day moves into evening, lighting becomes an important part of the experience, providing both function and atmosphere while highlighting the landscape and architectural elements.
Wattletree Pavilion demonstrates that even when landscape forms a relatively small component of a project, thoughtful detailing can have a significant impact. From planting and paving to lighting and wayfinding, each element contributes to a cohesive and considered experience.
Design is in the details – and here, every detail plays its part.
